British Physics Olympiad Computational Challenge
My entry for the 2024 British Physics Olympiad (BPhO) Computational Challenge received a Gold Award. I modelled projectile motion in code, from simple paths to bounces and air resistance.
Each of the nine challenges has its own page in the app. Set the launch speed, angle, height and gravity to see the projectile's path. The last challenge also includes drag, air density and the projectile's mass. You can download each graph as an image. I used React and Chart.js. You can install the site as a web app.
The video is the two-minute showcase submitted with the entry.
Outcome
I completed all nine core challenges and received a Gold Award. This was my first React application. I attempted bonus challenges, but none were working by submission.
